CityGuide ("we", "our", "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the CityGuide mobile application.

- Account information such as name, email, and profile details when you sign in (for example, Google Sign-In or Firebase Authentication, as implemented in the app).
- Profile media (photos) if you choose to upload a profile picture using camera or gallery.
- Device and app diagnostics such as crash logs, performance metrics, and technical identifiers (for example, via Firebase Crashlytics or Performance Monitoring, where enabled).
- Notification token to send push notifications (for example, via Firebase Cloud Messaging), only when you permit notifications.
2. How we use your information
- Provide core app features (city exploration, location-based recommendations, account features).
- Improve app reliability, security, and performance.
- Send important service notifications when you have enabled them.
- Detect and prevent abuse or technical issues.
3. Permissions we request
- Location: to show nearby places and location-based features.
- Camera: to capture profile pictures or photos if you choose.
- Notifications: to send app alerts and updates (optional).
- Internet: required for app functionality and cloud services.
Permissions are requested at runtime where applicable. You may deny or revoke them in your device settings.
4. Third-party services
We use trusted third-party services, which may process data according to their own privacy policies:
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Messaging, Crashlytics, Performance Monitoring), as configured in the app.
- Google Sign-In.

We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited data with service providers only to operate, maintain, and improve the app, or where required by law.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

8. Children’s privacy
CityGuide is not directed to children under 13 unless you clearly state otherwise in your store listing. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can delete it.

- Disable permissions (location, camera, notifications) in device settings.
